Tomato Cream Pasta

Fettuccine

Tomato sauce

Heavy cream

Butter

Romano cheese

Canned or fresh tomato

Spinach

Garlic

Onion

Salt and Pepper

Sugar

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain

  2. In a large skillet heat the olive oil and butter over medium-low heat. Add onions and garlic and saute for a minute or until softened and translucent.

  3. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, sugar, salt and pepper.  cook over low heat for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Turn the heat down to low. stir in cream and add cheese. Add the pasta and fresh spinach and gently stir.
